Drive Focus

Drive Focus® is an interactive driver training app used during the Bootcamp.  It was developed by an occupational therapist/driving rehabilitation specialist who designed it for novice drivers with disabilities to better prepare them for driving.

The app is designed to have the user identify, prioritize, and react to various “hazards” in the driving environment. It provides actual video of drives through various types of environments including cities, rural areas, and vacation spots in both the United States and Canada.

The “game” is set up to present more challenges as the user progresses in abilities. Drive Focus is used during the Bootcamp to improve visual scanning, hazard detection, reaction time, and cognitive processing skills in preparation for driving on the simulators.
