Admissions Information Sessions
Information is available via the MSOT Admissions page. Currently virtual and in-person sessions are available. To register, please complete the online registration.


Application Availability
The Department of Occupational Therapy will accept MSOT applications beginning in summer 2024 for the cohort that will be entering in fall 2025. Visit the MSOT Admissions page for more details.

Accreditation
The entry-level Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, located at 6116 Executive Boulevard, Suite 200, North Bethesda, MD  20852-4929. ACOTE’s telephone number, c/o AOTA is (301) 652-AOTA, and its web address is www.acoteonline.org. The MSOT program received full 10-year accreditation in 2014-2015 indicating that it is compliant with the Accreditation Standards for a Masters Degree-Level Educational Program for the Occupational Therapist.The entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program has applied for accreditation and has been granted Candidacy Status by the ACOTE of the American Occupational Therapy Association (www.acoteonline.org). Institutional and Professional Licensure Disclosures for Enrolled and Prospective Students
Completion of the requirements of the ECU MSOT Program satisfies the professional licensure requirements in North Carolina as well as the states, districts, and territories of the United States, and allows our graduates to sit for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT®) Examination.

Excellent Exam Scores
In 2015-2021, 100% of MSOT graduates in the Department of Occupational Therapy passed their certification exam through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy on the first attempt.
